Rudy Sarzo "Red Peavey Signature Bass" Tee

In 1989, Rudy Sarzo teamed up with Peavey to design his first signature bass guitar with the company. The result was a striking offset-body design with an extended top horn, neck-through construction, and a 3-piece figured maple build with purpleheart stringers. The bass was available in translucent red and purpleheart finishes, complemented by an ebony fingerboard, a gold Schaller 3-way adjustable roller bridge, gold Schaller machine heads, active electronics, and active soapbar wide ceramic humbucker pickups.

During his tenure with Whitesnake, Rudy showcased this iconic bass on the Slip of the Tongue world tour and in the band's music videos.

Though Rudy’s collaboration with Peavey lasted only a few years, he went on to partner with other manufacturers, creating more signature models in the years that followed.
