Bruce used the Multi-Swirl & Flip Flop guitars at every single show of the 1985-86 KISS Asylum tour. The Multi-Swirl paint is not actually a swirl paint job at all, but a process that was developed by painting the body several different layers of color and then sanding out the layers at random, revealing the colors underneath. Unique, colorful, and iconic for sure! The paint on the Flip Flop guitar is very special. The blue color will change from blue to teal, depending on the light, since the effect is achieved by interfering with the reflection and refraction of light from the painted object's surface. Bruce commented, "Depending on the light, that finish never looked exactly the same from one moment to the next!"

Although the original Multi-Swirl and Flip Flop guitars are no longer part of Bruce's collection, he currently owns replicas of both these amazing guitars! The original Multi-Swirl guitar resides in Sweden as part of a mega-fan's collection. The original Flip Flop guitar resides at the Hard Rock Cafe's museum in London, England.
